Hey There Big Boi

I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about Big Boi (one half of well-known duo OutKast) releasing a solo album. I always thought his other half, Andre 3000, brought more talent to the table anyway. I was very pleasantly surprised, however, when I heard the first single off of his impending album, Sir Lucious Leftfoot: The Son Of Chico Dusty (expected to be released July 6)

“Shutterbug” is fun, catchy, has a great beat and features Big Boi’s true talent when it comes to spitting rhymes. (In fact, it made me change my previous conviction that Andre 3000 was more or less carrying OutKast up the charts.) Check it out below…

What do you think of Big Boi on his own? Should he go running back to Andre 3000 ASAP or continue to fly solo?
